Washington’s broker course is the starting course

Washington calls its entry-level license a real estate broker license. For a new applicant, the education consists of 60 hours of Real Estate Fundamentals and 30 hours of Real Estate Practices. The Colibri packages below cover the combined 90 hours.

Look for that full combination when choosing your first course. Managing-broker education is a later career step, and continuing education serves people who are already licensed.

The exam-prep upgrade is $36 at these prices

Exam Preparation is our suggested starting package for a first-time Washington student. The checked difference from The Basics is $36, which adds simulated exams, flashcards and a readiness tracker. Those tools give you a way to test recall after completing the Fundamentals and Practices material.

Move to Plus for another $42 if live Q&A and Exam Cram webinars would help you resolve difficult topics. Ultimate adds a printed textbook and career resources for $66 more than Plus. Every level lists the same required 90-hour education.

Allow time for the school to report completion

The Washington Department of Licensing says your school must submit your education to PSI before you schedule the broker examination. The submission can take up to seven days. Once you finish, confirm that your education appears in the testing system rather than assuming the certificate alone opens exam booking immediately.

You must complete the broker exams within two years of completing the education. Keep that state deadline alongside the course-access period shown by Colibri; they serve different purposes.

What is the next step after the class?

Use the Washington real estate broker licensing guide for examination, fingerprints and application instructions. Your course-completion record is the handoff from the education stage to that process.

Reserve money for those separate expenses using our Washington licensing cost breakdown. The four package prices compare school tuition and study support.
