Start the 70-hour Montana education

Montana’s salesperson checklist requires 70 hours of approved prelicense education completed within the preceding 24 months. Colibri’s four packages list that 70-hour course, with additional review tools at the higher levels.

Online study lets you organize the lessons around your current commitments. Build a weekly schedule you can keep, then choose support that helps you continue when the material becomes less familiar.

Choose how to check your understanding

The Basics supplies the course and instructor support. Exam Preparation adds $60 at the current checked promotion for simulated exams, flashcards and the readiness tracker. It is our starting recommendation if you want regular progress checks before exam day.

Plus is another $42 for live Q&A and Exam Cram webinars. Use that upgrade if discussing questions helps you retain the material. Ultimate adds printed study and career resources for another $66.

Track the education and exam deadlines separately

Montana’s checklist uses a 24-month window for education and a 12-month window for the examination result. Keep the completion and passing dates with your application records so both remain current when you apply.

Those state windows are separate from Colibri’s course-access term. Check the access period before enrollment and reserve enough time for lessons, assessments and review. For example, ten hours of study per week divides 70 hours into seven weeks before additional preparation time.

Bring the course into your brokerage plan

Montana also requires a relationship with a licensed broker holding a supervising-broker endorsement and proof of professional liability/E&O insurance. Our Montana real estate agent guide covers the full application sequence.

Use the Montana licensing budget to combine tuition with the remaining startup expenses. The package comparison here stays focused on education and study support.
