Buying your first New York course? Look for 77 hours
New York’s current salesperson education requirement is 77 hours. A new student should choose the complete qualifying course, such as the Colibri packages below. This keeps your coursework together instead of leaving you to assemble older course credits and supplemental training.
There is a different route for someone who already completed the former 75-hour course: the Department of State’s education FAQ describes a two-hour fair housing and/or implicit bias course to supplement it. Check that route before purchasing a full program again if you already hold that earlier completion record.

Online lessons, a school final and a separate state exam
Completing the online lessons is the first part of your education. New York also requires a school-administered proctored examination. The Department of State licensing examination is a separate appointment; passing the school final does not book that appointment for you.

Will a higher tier shorten the required coursework?
No. The education hours are the same. Upgrade for practice, instructor interaction or printed materials that you expect to use, rather than for a different licensing requirement.
